Prayer is central to
everything we do here at
Christ
Church.
As well as the praying that goes on in our small groups week
by week we also meet regularly as a whole church once every half
term to worship together, pray and share together.
Prayer times are held at Christ Church at the following
times:
Friday 9.00am-9.45am in the Parish Room
The prayer ministry team meets before each service to pray.
At Christ Church,
we offer healing prayer at all three of our services, and also,
prayer ministry teams can, on request, go to homes during the week.
We like to think that we are available for prayer as much as
possible. The staff are always willing to pray with those who need
it, and we encourage small groups to pray for one another every time
they meet.
We encourage people
to come forward for prayer in response to words of knowledge, or
pictures given to them by the Holy Spirit, or because they are in
any kind of physical, mental or emotional pain or need. We love to
pray with folk to receive the blessings and gifts of the Holy
Spirit, and we are more than happy to pray for loved ones or those
God has put on their hearts.
The prayer teams meet
regularly to pray together and encourage one another, as well as
meeting before each service to wait on God.
The teams are run on a rota basis, and there is regular
training offered whether here in Chilwell, or at other churches.
